December 2007, Alfonso Rosas and Vicente Berlanga, open BLANCO Contemporary Art in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. A place for the exhibition and sale of contemporary art.
As an art gallery and creative studio, BLANCO showed the latest creations of national and international artists, exposing new ways of conceiving and visualizing art.
Surrounded by materials, such as metal, stainless steel and concrete the spectator found him/herself in an avant-gardist ambience , observing the art exhibited, creating the pleasant experience of enjoying art.
The art gallery searched for new tendencies and exhibited to the public different proposals such as, painting, sculpture, installation, video art and projections. As the Creative Director of BLANCO, Alfonso Rosas offered different services; design of corporate identity, decor, furniture, mural paintings and photography.
During two years important projects were developed; such as the decor and art of AVEMED center; as well as the design and remodeling of the international agency “Grupo W”.
Commited to the development of contemporary art in the city, BLANCO did the first contest of contemporary painting awarding 50, 000 pesos in different prizes.
There were also different courses given in BLANCO such as drawing of human figure.
In December 2009 BLANCO is closed in order for their directors to focus in the creation of personal art and other different projects.
