While doing the remodeling of Casa W The new offices of Grupo W in Saltillo Coahuila, Alfonso Rosas had the opportunity of doing a unique art piece. In the heart of the house, in the center there is a swimming pool of a perimeter or 36 meters.
The swimming pool is intense red and was decorated in a special way. An art piece transfered to ceramics was installed.
“Lo que Somos” is the name of this art piece. Made totally by hand and using pencil as a technique, this art piece tells through 36 meters what we are as humans. Family, music, animals, war, history, laugh, creativity, hate and love. Everything is there and eveything is happening at the same time. It is a story told not in a chronological order, but a story that leaves the viewer with the freedom to create his own stories once he observes the images.
This art piece was made in approximately 8 months, since the first stage (creation technique pencil) to the last (transfered to ceramics).
